Bulk Tag Updates in GHL now remove a lot of the repetitive work from tag cleanup. Before this update, changing tag colors meant opening and editing each tag one at a time.

Now, you can select up to 100 tags from the Tags management page and apply one color to the full group in a single action. You can also create a new category directly from the category selector while assigning tags, which means you no longer have to leave the page to set one up first.

The main difference is speed. You can now update large groups of tags, keep colors more consistent, and build new categories without breaking your workflow. For accounts with a large tag library, that makes day-to-day organization much easier.

Here are the main steps to use Bulk Tag Updates:

• Access the Settings Area in GoHighLevel.
• Open the Tags Area and select your tags.
• Update the color for selected tags.

To start, make sure you are logged in to the correct GoHighLevel sub-account.

• Go to the bottom of the Main Menu on the left-hand sidebar.

1.1 Click the Settings gear icon ⚙️.

• This opens the main Settings area for your sub-account.

• Inside Settings, use the menu on the left-hand side.

2.1 Click Tags.

• This opens the Tags management area where you can view and manage your current tags.

2.2 Select the checkboxes beside the tags you want to update.

• You can select multiple tags at the same time.
• GHL allows you to update the color of up to 100 selected tags in one bulk action.

2.3 Click Update color.

• This opens the Update tag color window for the selected tags.

• The Update tag color window will show the tags you selected.

3.1 Review the Tags field.

• This shows the tags that will be included in the bulk update.
• If several tags are selected, GHL may show one tag name followed by the number of additional selected tags.

3.2 Choose your Tag color.

• Select one of the available preset colors.
• You can also use the custom color option if you need a specific color.

3.3 Click the Update button.

• GoHighLevel will apply the selected color to all tags included in the bulk action.

That’s it. Your selected tags will now use the same color, saving you from opening and editing each tag one by one.

The changelog notes that you can create a new category directly from the Category Selector while assigning tags. However, this option is not currently visible in the GHL interface we tested, so the exact steps could not be verified at this time.

For now, we recommend checking your own GHL account to see if the option has reached your sub-account before using it in your workflow.
