Give new members a clear welcome in just a few steps.
Welcome Badge Emails Give You More Control
Welcome Badge Emails are now easier to control in GHL. You can create a clear welcome message for new members without changing the emails used for regular badges or certificates.
Before this update, welcome badge emails followed the same path as other badge emails. That made it easy to change the wrong message or send new members an email that did not fit the moment.
GHL now includes a separate Welcome Badge Issued notification in the Client Portal email settings. Enrollment-triggered welcome badges use this template automatically, so you can guide new members from the start while keeping your other badge emails focused on progress and results.

Welcome Badge Emails give you more control over the first message new members receive. You can improve onboarding without changing your regular badge or certificate emails.

What’s New With Welcome Badge Emails
Welcome Badge Emails now have their own email type in GHL. You can find the new Welcome Badge Issued option inside the Client Portal email settings, next to Badge Issued and Certificate Issued.
This means you can change the subject line, message, and mute settings for welcome badges without changing your other badge emails. New members can now get a message that fits the moment, while regular badge emails stay focused on progress and results.
Automate marketing, manage leads, and grow faster with GoHighLevel.

Enrollment-triggered welcome badges will use this new email path on their own. There is no extra setup needed once the template is ready.
Why Welcome Badge Emails Matter
Welcome Badge Emails help you give new members a better first step. Instead of sending a general badge message, you can send a clear welcome that tells them where to go and what to do next.
This also keeps your other badge emails clean and focused. Regular badges can celebrate progress, while the welcome email can handle login details, course links, and simple onboarding notes.
For agencies, course creators, and community managers, this means less confusion and fewer support questions. It also makes the Client Portal feel more organized and professional.

Quick Tips for Welcome Badge Emails
Keep Welcome Badge Emails short and clear. New members should know why they got the email and what they need to do next.
Give them one simple action, such as opening the course, signing in to the portal, or contacting support. Also check that the notification is active before you test it. A muted email will not send, even when the badge is issued.
Keep this message focused on the welcome experience. Your regular badge emails can still celebrate progress and results. Test the subject line, links, and mobile view before sending the email to real members.
What Welcome Badge Emails Mean for Your Business
Welcome Badge Emails give new members a cleaner start. Instead of sending the same message for every badge, you can use the welcome email to guide them into the course, community, or client portal.
For agencies, this makes onboarding easier to manage across different client accounts. Each client can use a message that fits their brand, while regular badge and certificate emails stay focused on progress and completion.
This small change can also cut down on support questions. When members know where to log in and what to do first, the whole experience feels more organized and professional.
