Introduction – Opportunity Smart Lists Snapshots
Setting up the same opportunity views for every new GHL account gets old fast. Now you can add Opportunity Smart Lists and Smart Tags to your Snapshots and bring that setup across to new subaccounts.
That means your Opportunity Smart Lists can move with the setup you already created. Filters, sorting, managed fields, list or board view, and pipeline visibility can all carry over when the Snapshot is pushed to another subaccount.
Opportunity Smart Tags are included too. Their colour coding and linked pipeline can move with the Snapshot, helping you keep each new account consistent from the start.
For agencies, this is a simple update with a big payoff. If you onboard clients using the same sales process, you can now build that process into your template subaccount and reuse it again and again.
There is one important catch. Opportunity Smart Lists and Smart Tags depend on Pipelines. If the related pipeline is not included in the same Snapshot push, the dependent Smart List or Smart Tag will not be created in the destination subaccount.
The result is a cleaner way to standardize your opportunity setup, reduce manual work, and get new client accounts ready faster.
The latest GoHighLevel Changelog includes several other GHL feature updates that round out your daily workflow:
- Wait Action Enhancement: TikTok DM Replies
- India Recurring Mandate Support for Affiliate Indian Signup Pages
- Housecall Pro – More Workflow Actions & Triggers
- Email Services Dashboard for Agencies
- Email Sequences Now Available in Beta Labs
- Group Your Contacts by Source in Dashboards & Reporting
- MMLite Adoption Banner in Conversations

Quick Summary – Opportunity Smart Lists
Purpose: This update lets you include Opportunity Smart Lists and Opportunity Smart Tags in GHL Snapshots so you can reuse the same opportunity setup across subaccounts.
Why It Matters: You no longer need to rebuild the same Smart Lists, Smart Tags, and related opportunity views every time you onboard a new client.
What You Get: GHL can carry over Smart List filters, sorting, manage-fields setup, list or board type, pipeline visibility, Smart Tag colours, and linked pipelines.
Time To Complete: For most agencies, this should only take a few minutes once your template subaccount and related pipelines are already set up.
Difficulty Level: Beginner to intermediate. The process is simple, but you need to understand which pipelines your Opportunity Smart Lists and Smart Tags depend on.
Key Requirement: The related pipelines must be included in the same Snapshot push, or the dependent Smart Lists and Smart Tags will not be created in the destination subaccount.
Key Outcome: You can build your opportunity setup once, push it into new subaccounts, and keep client onboarding faster and more consistent.

What’s New With Opportunity Smart Lists
Opportunity Smart Lists can now be included as selectable assets when you create or push a GHL Snapshot.
That means you can build a useful opportunity view inside your template subaccount, save the setup you want, and move that same configuration into another subaccount without rebuilding it from scratch.
GHL carries over key Opportunity Smart Lists settings, including filters, sorting, manage-fields setup, list or board view type, and pipeline visibility.
Opportunity Smart Tags can also be included in the Snapshot. Their colour coding and linked pipeline are carried over too, which helps keep your visual setup consistent between accounts.
GHL has also added conflict handling when a Snapshot is loaded. If the destination subaccount already has matching assets, the system is designed to avoid creating unnecessary duplicates.
For agencies, this makes Snapshots more complete. You can now include more of the actual opportunity management setup your team uses every day instead of only moving the supporting pipeline structure.
The biggest thing to remember is that Opportunity Smart Lists and Smart Tags depend on Pipelines. You need to include the related pipelines in the same Snapshot push, or those Smart Lists and Smart Tags won’t be created in the destination subaccount.
Why Opportunity Smart Lists Matter for Agencies
If you manage more than a few GHL accounts, you know how quickly the little setup jobs start piling up.
Building your Opportunity views once isn’t the problem. Having to go back into every new subaccount and recreate the same filters, tags, and layouts is where the time disappears.
This update cuts down on that repeat work.
You can get your preferred setup sorted inside a template subaccount, include it in your Snapshot, and use that as the starting point for future accounts.
That’s especially handy if most of your clients follow a similar sales process.
Your team gets familiar pipelines, familiar views, and the same tagging system from one account to the next. There’s less hunting around and less wondering why one client account looks different from another.
For agencies with a repeatable onboarding process, that consistency is a big win. It won’t completely change how you run your business, but it can remove a bunch of small setup jobs that add up over time.
How to Add Opportunity Smart Lists to GHL Snapshots
Opportunity Smart Lists can now be included when you create or push a Snapshot in GoHighLevel. You’ll first prepare the Smart Lists, Smart Tags, and related pipelines inside your template subaccount.
You’ll then select those assets in the Snapshot and push them into the destination subaccount. The most important thing to remember is that the related pipelines must be included in the same push.
- Prepare Your Opportunity Smart Lists.
- Check the Related Pipelines.
- Add the Assets to Your Snapshot.
- Push the Snapshot to the Subaccount.
- Confirm the Opportunity Smart Lists.
To start, make sure you are logged in to your GoHighLevel agency account and have access to the template subaccount you use for Snapshot setup.
Step 01 – Prepare Your Opportunity Smart Lists
- Start inside the template subaccount that contains the setup you want to reuse.
1.1 Open the Opportunities area.
- Review the Opportunity Smart Lists you want to include in the Snapshot.
1.2 Check the Smart List configuration.
- Confirm the filters, sorting, manage-fields setup, list or board type, and pipeline visibility are set the way you want.

Step 2.0 – Check the Related Pipelines
- Opportunity Smart Lists and Smart Tags depend on Pipelines.
2.1 Identify the pipeline connected to each Smart List.
- Make sure every required pipeline is part of the setup you plan to push.
2.2 Check the pipeline linked to each Smart Tag.
- These related pipelines also need to be included in the same Snapshot push.

Step 3.0 – Add the Assets to Your Snapshot
- Open the Snapshot you want to use for your client or subaccount setup.
3.1 Select the related Pipelines.
- Add every pipeline that your Opportunity Smart Lists and Smart Tags depend on.
3.2 Select the Opportunity Smart Lists.
- Choose the Smart Lists you want to carry into the destination subaccount.
3.3 Select the Opportunity Smart Tags.
- Add the Smart Tags you want included with the Snapshot.

Step 4.0 – Push the Snapshot to the Subaccount
- Push or load the Snapshot into the destination subaccount.
4.1 Choose the destination subaccount.
- Select the account where you want the Opportunity setup to be created.
4.2 Push or load the Snapshot.
- GoHighLevel will process the included Opportunity Smart Lists, Smart Tags, and Pipelines.
4.3 Let GHL handle any existing asset conflicts.
- The update includes conflict handling so loading the Snapshot into a subaccount that already has assets does not create duplicate versions unnecessarily.

Step 5.0 – Confirm the Opportunity Smart Lists
- Review the destination subaccount after the Snapshot finishes loading.
5.1 Type confirm by confirming
- Confirm the required pipelines are available.
5.2 Click Load
- Check that the filters, sorting, manage-fields setup, list or board type, and pipeline visibility carried over correctly.

Note: The changelog confirms that Opportunity Smart Lists and Opportunity Smart Tags are selectable Snapshot assets, that their listed configuration carries over, that conflict handling helps prevent duplicates, and that the related Pipelines must be included in the same push. It does not provide every current button label or exact navigation detail for the Snapshot screens, so the steps above avoid adding unsupported interface details.
What Carries Over With Opportunity Smart Lists
Opportunity Smart Lists now carry much more than just the name of the view when they’re included in a GHL Snapshot.
The saved Smart List configuration can move with the Snapshot, which means the destination subaccount can receive the same working setup you created in your template account.
GHL now brings the main Opportunity Smart List settings across too. That includes your filters, sorting, field layout, whether the list uses board or list view, and the pipelines you’ve chosen to display.
This is where the update starts saving real time. Your team can open a new subaccount and work from a familiar view instead of rebuilding it again.
Opportunity Smart Tags also carry over their colour coding and linked pipeline.
If colours are part of how your team reads the pipeline, this update keeps that system intact. Staff can open a new subaccount and understand what they’re looking at much faster.
For agencies, the real value is consistency. Opportunity Smart Lists can now become part of your standard Snapshot setup instead of something you have to recreate later.
One thing still matters above everything else: the related pipelines must be included in the same Snapshot push. If the required pipeline is missing, the dependent Smart List or Smart Tag will not be created in the destination subaccount.
How GHL Handles Existing Opportunity Smart Lists
Opportunity Smart Lists are also easier to manage when you push a Snapshot into a subaccount that already has assets in place.
The Snapshot load process now includes duplicate checks. So if the destination account already has matching opportunity assets, GHL is less likely to create another version of the same thing.
This really helps when you’re working on a client account that’s already set up and in use.
Without conflict handling, repeated Snapshot pushes could leave you with duplicate views, repeated tags, and extra cleanup work. This update helps make those pushes more predictable.
It also gives agencies more confidence when using Snapshots as an ongoing account management tool, not just a one-time onboarding tool.
You should still review the destination subaccount after the Snapshot is loaded.
Before anyone starts using the account, make sure the Smart Lists, Smart Tags, and connected pipelines all came across properly.
The main takeaway is simple: GHL is making Snapshot updates safer to reuse across existing subaccounts, while helping you avoid duplicate opportunity assets.
Pipeline Requirements for Opportunity Smart Lists
Opportunity Smart Lists depend on Pipelines, so this is the one setup rule you do not want to miss.
If a Smart List or Smart Tag is connected to a pipeline, that pipeline must be included in the same Snapshot push. If it is left out, the dependent Opportunity Smart List or Smart Tag will not be created in the destination subaccount.
Think of the pipeline as the foundation. The Smart List and Smart Tag can only be recreated properly if the structure they depend on is also being moved.
For example, let’s say you have an Opportunity Smart List connected to your “Sales Pipeline.” If you add the Smart List to the Snapshot but leave out the Sales Pipeline, GHL cannot build that Smart List correctly in the receiving subaccount.
The same applies to Smart Tags that are linked to a pipeline.
Think of the pipeline, Smart Lists, and Smart Tags as one setup instead of separate pieces. Move them together and review them together afterward.
That simple habit can prevent missing assets and save you from wondering why part of your opportunity setup did not appear.
Pro Tips for Opportunity Smart Lists
A good Snapshot starts with a good source account.
Use one clean subaccount as your main template and keep the core setup there. Build the pipelines, Smart Lists, and Smart Tags in that account before you start pushing them anywhere else.
Naming matters too. If your team uses the same sales process for several clients, keep pipeline names consistent so people aren’t trying to remember which account calls the same thing by a different name.
Before you save anything into a Snapshot, check the filters and fields. One bad setting in the template can follow you into every account that uses it.
Tag colours are worth standardizing as well. Pick a simple colour system your team understands and stick with it.
And don’t separate assets that rely on each other. If a Smart List or Smart Tag needs a pipeline, make sure that pipeline is included in the same push.
For bigger changes, test the Snapshot in a spare subaccount first. It’s a lot easier to catch a missing asset there than inside a live client account.
The cleaner your template is, the easier every rollout becomes.
What Opportunity Smart Lists Mean for Your Business
For agencies that onboard clients on a regular basis, this can take one more repetitive job off the checklist.
Your agency probably has a usual way of laying out Opportunities. That could be one main pipeline, a view for hot leads, another for people who need a follow-up, and a few tags the team already knows.
Now more of that setup can go into the Snapshot instead of being rebuilt after the new account is created.
That helps in a couple of ways.
First, it speeds up the early setup work. Second, it gives your team a more familiar account to work in from the start.
Instead of opening each client account and finding a different layout, they can see the same general structure they already know.
That’s useful for agencies with repeatable services, especially when several clients use a similar sales process.
You still have room to customize each account. You’re just not wasting time rebuilding the basics before you get to the parts that actually need attention.
FAQs About Opportunity Smart Lists
Scale Faster With Opportunity Smart Lists
If your agency is still rebuilding Opportunity views from scratch, this update can take some of that work off your plate.
GHL now lets you include Opportunity Smart Lists and Smart Tags in a Snapshot, along with the settings that make those views useful.
Your filters, sorting, field setup, view type, pipeline visibility, Smart Tag colours, and linked pipelines can all be part of the setup you reuse.
That gives you a much better starting point for new subaccounts.
Instead of opening a fresh client account and rebuilding the same layout again, you can do the work once in your template and bring more of it across with the Snapshot.
Just don’t forget the pipeline dependency.
If a Smart List or Smart Tag relies on a pipeline, that pipeline has to be included in the same push or the setup won’t come across properly.
For agencies with a repeatable onboarding process, this makes Snapshots a lot more useful.
It also helps keep accounts from drifting into slightly different versions of the same setup over time.
If you’ve already got a go-to Snapshot for new clients, it’s worth adding the Smart Lists and Smart Tags your team uses all the time.
