Show whether higher or lower numbers are good for each metric.
GHL Dashboard Trend Colors That Actually Help
Dashboard Trend Colors in GHL now make it easier to see whether a metric is moving in the right direction. You can choose if an increase or a decrease should count as a positive result for each widget.
Before this update, GHL treated higher numbers as positive by default. That worked for leads, sales, and delivered emails, but it could be misleading for churn, bounce rate, unsubscribe rate, or cost per lead.
Now you can set Dashboard Trend Colors to match what each metric really means. A lower unsubscribe rate can show green, while a drop in delivered emails can still show red, making reports much easier for you and your clients to read.

Dashboard Trend Colors now give you a clearer way to read performance inside GHL. You can make green mean “good” based on what each metric actually measures, whether the number should go up or down.
Quick Summary – Dashboard Trend Colors at a Glance
Purpose: This update lets you control whether an increase or decrease should show as a positive result on GHL dashboard widgets.
Why It Matters: Dashboard Trend Colors now match what each metric actually means, so lower numbers can show as good when that makes sense.
What You Get: You can choose between Increase is positive and Decrease is positive for each widget.
Time To Complete: Most widgets can be updated in about 1 to 2 minutes.
Difficulty Level: Easy. The setting is inside the widget’s Configure panel.
Key Outcome: Your reports become easier to read, especially for metrics like churn, bounce rate, unsubscribe rate, and cost per lead.
What’s New With GHL Dashboard Trend Colors
Dashboard Trend Colors now give you more control over how GHL shows changes in your reports. When a widget uses a Comparison Date Range, you can choose whether an increase or a decrease should count as a positive result.
The new setting gives you two choices: Increase is positive or Decrease is positive. Increase is positive and stays as the default, so your existing widgets will not change unless you update them.
Automate marketing, manage leads, and grow faster with GoHighLevel.

This works across Number, Line, and Bar chart views. So whether you are tracking leads, sales, churn, bounce rate, or cost per lead, the trend badge can now match what that metric actually means.
Why GHL Dashboard Trend Colors Matter
Dashboard Trend Colors help you read performance faster and with less confusion. Before this update, a green increase could look positive even when the number was actually moving the wrong way.
That matters for metrics like churn, bounce rate, unsubscribe rate, and cost per lead. In those cases, lower is usually better. Now GHL can show that drop as a positive result instead of making the report harder to understand.
For agencies, this also makes client reporting clearer. When green means good and red means needs attention, clients can scan a dashboard and understand the result without needing extra explanation.
How to Set GHL Dashboard Trend Colors
Dashboard Trend Colors in GHL let you control whether an increase or decrease should show as a positive result. The setting is inside each widget’s Configure panel, so you can adjust the trend direction based on what the metric actually means.
Here are the steps we will follow:
- Open and Edit the Dashboard Widget.
- Configure the Trend Direction and Save.
To start, make sure you are logged in to the correct GoHighLevel sub-account.
Step 01 – Open and Edit the Dashboard Widget
- The main menu on the left side of your screen includes the main areas you use in GoHighLevel.
1.1 Click Dashboard.
- This opens the Dashboard area in your GHL sub-account.
- Find the widget you want to update.
1.2 Click the three-dot menu on the widget.
- The menu will open with the available widget options.
1.3 Click Edit.
- This opens the Edit Widget panel.
- You can now change the settings for that specific widget.

Step 02 – Configure the Trend Direction and Save
- The Edit Widget panel opens on the right side of your screen.
2.1 Click Configure.
- This opens the main settings for the widget.
- Make sure you are working inside the Configure tab before changing the trend settings.
2.2 Review the Date range override.
- Choose whether the widget should use the Dashboard date range or a different date range.
- Leave it set to Dashboard date range if you want the widget to follow the main dashboard settings.
2.3 Set the Comparison date range.
- Choose the comparison period GHL should use for the trend badge.
- The trend badge uses this comparison to show whether the metric has gone up or down.
2.4 Choose whether an increase or decrease is positive.
- Select Increase is positive when a higher number is a better result.
- Select Decrease is positive when a lower number is a better result.
For example:
- Delivered emails would normally use Increase is positive.
- Unsubscribe rate, bounce rate, churn, or cost per lead would normally use Decrease is positive.
2.5 Click Save.
- GHL will save the new setting for that widget.
- The trend badge color will now reflect whether the change is good or bad based on the option you selected.

Once this is set, your Dashboard Trend Colors will match the way each metric should actually be read. That means green can show a good result whether the number is going up or down.
Quick Tips for Better Dashboard Trend Colors
Dashboard Trend Colors work best when each widget is set based on what the metric should actually do. A higher number is not always better, so it is worth checking your most important widgets one by one.
Use Increase is positive for metrics like leads, sales, appointments, and delivered emails. Use Decrease is positive for metrics like churn, bounce rate, unsubscribe rate, and cost per lead.
Also, review your client-facing dashboards first. Those are the reports where the wrong color can cause the most confusion. Existing widgets will stay on Increase is positive unless you change them, so nothing updates on its own.
What This Means for Your Business
Dashboard Trend Colors make reports easier to read and harder to misinterpret. When each metric uses the right positive or negative signal, you and your clients can understand performance faster.
For agencies, this is especially useful on client dashboards. A drop in churn, bounce rate, or cost per lead can now show as a good result instead of looking like a problem. That means less time explaining the colors and more time talking about what the numbers actually mean.
The update does not change your data or how the metric is calculated. It only changes how the trend is shown, which makes your reporting cleaner, clearer, and more useful.
