GHL Chat Widget Branding
Keeping every chat widget on-brand sounds simple until you’re managing different colors, fonts, and styles across multiple widgets. GoHighLevel has made that job easier by connecting Chat Widgets directly with Brand Boards.
With this update, your location’s Brand Colors and Brand Fonts are available inside the Chat Widget Styles panel. That means Chat Widget Branding no longer requires you to hunt down color codes or manually match fonts every time you create or update a widget.
Your Brand Colors now appear in the color picker alongside a shared Default palette. Brand Fonts also appear separately from GHL’s standard font library, making it easier to choose approved brand styles while you’re building.
GoHighLevel has also thought about existing widgets. Custom colors already being used can automatically populate the Default palette when you first open the builder. New colors you use are added to that shared palette too, so they can be reused across other Chat Widgets in the same location.
For agencies, this makes Chat Widget Branding faster and much easier to control. You can spend less time repeating small design tasks and more time making sure every client-facing widget looks consistent.
Chat Widget Branding in GHL is now faster and more consistent with Brand Boards. Agencies can reuse approved colors and fonts across Chat Widgets, cutting repetitive styling while keeping every client experience on-brand.
The latest GoHighLevel Changelog includes several other GHL feature updates that round out your daily workflow:

Better Chat Widget Branding with Brand Boards
The big change is that GoHighLevel has connected Brand Boards directly to the Chat Widget builder. Your approved brand colors and fonts can now follow you into the Styles panel, so you don’t have to manually recreate them while designing a widget.
When you open a supported color field, Brand Colors from your location’s Brand Board appear inside the color picker. You’ll also see a shared Default palette. This gives you a quick choice between using official brand colors or other colors you regularly use across Chat Widgets.
GHL has made the Default palette smarter too. Existing custom colors from your Chat Widgets are automatically added to the palette the first time you open the updated builder. When you use a new color, it’s added to the shared Default palette so you can use it again on other Chat Widgets in that location.
Fonts work in a similar way. Brand Fonts configured in your Brand Board now appear separately from the standard font library. This makes Chat Widget Branding easier because your approved fonts are clearly separated from the other available choices.
GoHighLevel has also updated the Styles panel to use its Highrise color picker. Colors are normalized and duplicate values are removed, helping keep your palettes cleaner as you continue building.
There’s no migration work required. Your existing widgets keep their current styling, and existing website embed snippets don’t need to be changed.
Consistent Chat Widget Branding Saves Time
For agencies, consistent branding gets harder as the number of client assets grows. One Chat Widget might be easy to manage. But when you’re creating several widgets for different pages, campaigns, or locations, small differences in colors and fonts can quickly creep in.
This update gives Chat Widget Branding a more reliable starting point. Instead of copying hex codes from another document or trying to remember which font a client approved, your Brand Board puts those choices directly inside the Chat Widget builder.
That can make a noticeable difference when multiple team members work inside the same GHL location. Everyone can access the same Brand Colors and Brand Fonts, helping reduce accidental styling changes and keeping widgets closer to the client’s approved brand.
It’s also useful for existing Chat Widgets. GoHighLevel automatically brings existing custom colors into the shared Default palette when you first open the updated builder. You don’t have to rebuild your current widgets or manually recreate those colors just to take advantage of the new workflow.
Most importantly, there’s no migration project hiding behind the update. Existing widgets don’t need to be reconfigured, and website embed snippets don’t need to be replaced.
For an agency managing client accounts at scale, that’s the real win. Better Chat Widget Branding becomes part of the normal GHL workflow without creating extra cleanup work first.
Set Up GHL Chat Widget Branding Step by Step
You’ll set up your Chat Widget Branding by first making sure your Brand Board contains the approved colors and fonts you want to use. You’ll then open your Chat Widget, go to the Styles panel, and apply those Brand Colors and Brand Fonts to your widget.
This process helps you keep your Chat Widget styling consistent with your location’s Brand Board while giving you access to reusable colors through the shared Default palette. Here are the steps to set up and use Brand Board colors and fonts in your GoHighLevel Chat Widget.
- Set Up Your GoHighLevel Brand Board.
- Access Your Chat Widget.

Improve Your Chat Widget Branding with These Tips
A little setup now can save plenty of repetitive work later. If you manage Chat Widgets for clients, start by building out the location’s Brand Board before creating multiple widgets. This gives your team an approved set of colors and fonts from the beginning.
Use Brand Colors for the client’s official colors. Because these colors are managed through Brand Boards and are read-only inside the Chat Widget builder, your team has a clear source for approved branding. If a brand color needs to change, update it from the Brand Board rather than trying to manage it inside the widget.
Don’t overlook the Default palette. It’s useful for colors you regularly need for Chat Widget Branding but don’t necessarily want included as official Brand Colors. New colors you use are automatically added to this shared palette and become available across other Chat Widgets in the same location.
If you already have custom-themed widgets, check the Default palette before manually adding old colors. GHL automatically brings existing custom colors into the palette when you first open the updated builder. Colors are also normalized and deduplicated, which helps prevent unnecessary repeats.
Finally, use Brand Fonts whenever consistency matters. Keeping approved colors and fonts together through Brand Boards makes it easier for anyone on your team to build a new widget that matches the client’s established look.
For agencies, the simple rule is this: set the brand standards once, then reuse them wherever possible. That’s where this Chat Widget Branding update can save the most time.
Faster Chat Widget Branding for GHL Agencies
For agencies, this update is about more than having a better color picker. It gives your team a simpler way to keep client branding consistent as you build and manage more Chat Widgets.
Once a client’s approved colors and fonts are stored in their Brand Board, your team can access those choices directly while styling a widget. That reduces the need to search through brand guides, copy color codes, or double-check which font should be used.
This can be especially useful when several people work inside the same GoHighLevel location. A designer, account manager, or VA can work from the same Brand Colors and Brand Fonts instead of making their own styling choices. That helps your agency deliver a more consistent result.
The shared Default palette also makes Chat Widget Branding faster when you need colors outside the official Brand Board. Once a new color is used, GHL makes it available for other Chat Widgets within that location. You can reuse common styling without starting from scratch each time.
There’s also very little disruption to your existing setup. Current widget colors are preserved, existing widgets don’t require migration, and your website embed snippets don’t need to be replaced.
The result is a cleaner white-label workflow. Set your client’s branding standards, give your team easy access to them, and spend less time fixing small design inconsistencies across your Chat Widgets.
Common Chat Widget Branding Questions
Simplify Your GHL Chat Widget Branding
GoHighLevel’s Brand Boards integration removes another repetitive step from building and managing Chat Widgets. Instead of searching for color codes and checking font choices every time, your approved branding is available right where you need it.
Brand Colors give your team quick access to approved choices, while Brand Fonts make it easier to maintain the same look across client-facing widgets. The shared Default palette also helps you reuse additional colors across Chat Widgets without rebuilding your styling from scratch.
For agencies, better Chat Widget Branding means fewer small inconsistencies and a smoother workflow for everyone working inside a client location. Set up the Brand Board once, and your team has a clearer foundation to work from when creating or updating widgets.
Best of all, you don’t need to rebuild existing Chat Widgets, migrate old colors, or replace website embed snippets. GHL preserves your current setup while giving you better branding tools moving forward.
If you manage Chat Widgets for clients, now is a good time to review each location’s Brand Board. Add the approved colors and fonts your team should be using, then let GHL do more of the repetitive work the next time you customize a widget.
